Liver

The liver is an organ in the human body that helps in digesting food. Generally, the size of the liver is about 1500 grams. It is the largest organ, the largest gland, and the most complex organ in the body. The liver controls your sugar levels, fat levels, and immunity resistance.

Why does the liver get damaged?

Five symptoms indicate that your liver may be damaged.

If you have excessive itching on the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet, it indicates that your alkaline phosphate level is increasing. According to Ayurveda, this means that your Pitta dosha is increasing.

If you develop jaundice, what happens is that the bilirubin level in your body increases. At the same time, you will see fluctuations in your SGOT and SGPT levels.

Your appetite completely disappears, and the size of your liver increases, which is called hepatomegaly. At that time, you may also experience vomiting.

If you get an injury and your blood does not stop even after the normal clotting time, and even a small cut turns bruised, it is a sign of a problem.

Your concentration completely disappears, and you lose sleep entirely.
