Shiv Pancharatna Stotra

In Hinduism, the three deities — Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Shiva) — are known as the Tridev. One creates the universe, one preserves it, and one destroys it. Among them, Lord Shiva is considered the deity who is the easiest to please.

Lord Shiva is known as the embodiment of renunciation or detachment.

·  Symbol of Detachment – Lord Shiva lives on Mount Kailash, away from worldly pleasures, symbolizing complete detachment from material desires.

·  Simple Living – He wears animal skin, applies ash on his body, and lives a simple ascetic life, showing that true divinity lies in simplicity.

·  Master of Meditation – Shiva is the supreme yogi, always deep in meditation, guiding souls toward inner peace and enlightenment.

·  Beyond Material Possessions – He owns nothing yet is the lord of the universe — teaching that peace comes from renunciation, not possessions.

·  Compassionate and Forgiving – Despite being detached, Shiva’s heart is full of love and compassion for his devotees.

·  Destroyer of Ego – As the destroyer of evil and ego, Shiva helps devotees rise above pride and attachment.

·  Source of Spiritual Power – His detachment gives him ultimate spiritual strength and divine balance between creation and destruction.

Bairagi means one who always remains absorbed in himself. Lord Shiva has no interest in worldly affairs. He has no home — his abode is Mount Kailash. He has no greed for any material thing and is content with whatever he receives. That is why he is called Devo ke Dev – Mahadev (the God of all Gods).

Today, we are talking about a Stotra that greatly pleases Lord Shiva. This Stotra also mentions Maa Gauri, and she too becomes very pleased when it is recited. When Maa Gauri is pleased, Lord Shiva is also pleased. It is recommended to recite this Stotra seven times daily.
